Green meteor over Covington, LA

I left my house to go jogging, checked my watch, it was exactly 5:30 p.m. and took off down the road. In front of me to my right was a giant green meteor flying by. It was large and fairly close. Green in color with a tail trailing behind, very bright. I felt it must have fallen not far from my residence. It disappeared quickly behind the trees.
